In my journey to Orthodox Christianity, Hieromonk Seraphim Rose of blessed memory played an important role. His writings, his life example, and I believe his intercessions (although he is not officially a saint of the Church), as an American convert from the nihilism of our culture, were all a great help to me in my path from heterodox Unitarianism and Christian Science to our Lord’s Church. Glory to Jesus Christ! I rejoice in the recent publication of the 3rd edition of his Genesis, Creation, and Early Man, which is an extremely important exegesis based in the Church Fathers, for the account of Creation in Genesis, and essential for Orthodox Christian apologetics today.
Recently I had the blessing of attending a wonderful conference on Church music at Christ the Savior Russian Orthodox Church in Wayne, West Virginia, with our parish warden and choir singer. While there, Fr. Jonah Campbell told me of something I had missed: That a collection of Hieromonk Seraphim’s writings have been made available online. There actually are several links to them I found with help from our parish Secretary, and which are shared below.
Glory to God!
