The Old-Time Appalachian Orthodox Christian Gospel Reading from St. John’s
It’s “old time” because Orthodox Christian, rooted back in Apostolic times and beyond. Appalachian because St. John’s Russian Orthodox Mission Church is a congregation of mainly American converts in Northern Appalachia. And Orthodox Christian because daily readings are from the Church Lectionary. (Note: During Great Lent, the Readings are sometimes from the Old Testament, following the Lectionary.) Glory to God!
